The Angus Barn is one of the nation's most successful restaurants. Beef was the staple of the original Angus Barn menu. Even though the menu has expanded since then, steak and potatoes still rule. Walter J. Royal, the executive chef, oversees the preparation of more than 5,000 pounds of beef every week.

The rustic red barn on Highway 70 west of Raleigh marked it's 46th anniversary in June of 2006. While the Barn has grown and changed over the years, the basic principals hospitality, attractive atmosphere, and good value for the customer's dollar have remained the same.

Four Square Restaurant

Globally-influenced Contemporary American. The menu changes monthly and incorporates the best of the region’s fresh produce, fish, game and fowl from local farmers and purveyors. Four Square has an award winning wine list that includes diverse offerings across a broad price range. The wines are chosen specifically to harmonize with the food served at the restaurant.

Four Square is located in the restored Victorian-era Bartlett Mangum House, built in 1908 and currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Four Square opened in October of 1999 and is chef owned and operated.

Gianni & Gaitano’s is a collaboration between brother Gianni Cinelli who owns Ristorante Cinelli, a fine dining Raleigh Italian Restaurant and Gaitano Cinelli who owns Cinelli’s Pizzeria Restaurant in Durham. Gianni & Gaitano’s is an open kitchen Tuscan-Style Trattoria, serving the freshest of Italian foods from pizza & calzones to Zuppa Di Pesce and high-end veal dishes with an extensive Italian Wine Menu with a California touch.

Chef Cory Goodman grew up with Italian food and hung out in the famous “Arthur Avenue” section of the Bronx while growing up. Cory honed his skills cooking in famous Country Clubs of the Tri-State Area. It was a match made in heaven, the trio (Gianni, Gaitano & Cory) shared their love and philosophy of food and now are like family. Their partnership is North Carolina’s gain.

Wither dining at Jujube's communal table, the dine-at counter overlooking the kitchen, or the patio, Chef Deal's restaurant offers one of the most unique experiences in the area.

During the 90s, Chef Charlie Deal made a name for himself on the West Coast with his fresh take on seasonal fare at the Bistro Oswald and for his inventive Asian street food at his signature eatery, Charlie Hong Kong. In 2005, he brought that modern sensibility to Asian food in the Triangle, opening Jujube in December to immediate acclaim.

Chef Keith Placko has worked in multiple restaurants in the Raleigh area. He owes his love of cooking to his grandmother who inspires him still today. His true passion is for Italian food and its preparation and history. All of his dishes are prepared with the customer as his top priority. His creed is, "imagine my grandmother is sitting at every table. If I did not prepare it with love and quality then I have failed".
